About Us
More than a decade has passed since Corsicana ISD witnessed this much change. A new superintendent. Four new board members in three years. Six campuses with new principals this fall. It signals a new era, a chance to create a new identity and build upon the rich traditions of the blue and gold. It’s a chance to ... Dare to Be Different, or #DBD. The new district motto will also be its new hashtag on social media, #DareToBeDifferent, or #DBD. It’s a sign of new things to come for CISD.

The Texas Association of Student Councils recently recognized the Corsicana High School Student Council as a Sweepstakes Council for outstanding achievements in leadership, service, and activities that serve to improve the school and community.

Long before they were District MVPs and regional qualifiers, twins Will and Kate Higgs were just a couple of kids whose father dragged them to the tennis courts at around 4 years old.

Friday morning drums and cheers rang out across Corsicana ISD as the Corsicana Education Foundation continued a time-honored tradition of surprising educators across the district with Innovative Teaching Grant awards. More than $43,000 was awarded for 17 grants.

The Corsicana High School Art Club recently wrapped up a two-week spring canned food drive that collected more than 11,000 cans for Compassion Corsicana's food pantry, more than double what school officials had anticipated.

Karen Vandiver thought she was just taking her class to the library on Thursday morning. Instead, a drumline, members of the Calicos drill team, and cheerleaders were waiting in the hall to escort the Audio/Video Technology teacher to a reception where Education Service Center Region 12 directors and Corsicana ISD dignitaries surprised her with a $14,085 technology grant.

The Corsicana High School Iron Tigers recently punched their ticket to the state powerlifting meet with a dominant showing at the Region 3 meet, bringing home new records, multiple plaques, and medals in the process.
