More than a decade has passed since Corsicana ISD witnessed this much change. A new superintendent. Four new board members in three years. Six campuses with new principals this fall. It signals a new era, a chance to create a new identity and build upon the rich traditions of the blue and gold. It’s a chance to ... Dare to Be Different, or #DBD. The new district motto will also be its new hashtag on social media, #DareToBeDifferent, or #DBD. It’s a sign of new things to come for CISD.

The Corsicana High School Iron Tigers recently punched their ticket to the state powerlifting meet with a dominant showing at the Region 3 meet, bringing home new records, multiple plaques, and medals in the process.

The Corsicana High School Calicos dance team competed Saturday at the Galveston Island Dance Festival, returning home with an impressive haul of awards across individual, small group, and team categories.

For years, the guidance was simple: Go to college. Get a degree. Build a career. But as student loan debt climbs and labor shortages deepen, Corsicana ISD is proving that a stable, well-paying career doesn’t always require a four-year university.
