About Us
More than a decade has passed since Corsicana ISD witnessed this much change. A new superintendent. Four new board members in three years. Six campuses with new principals this fall. It signals a new era, a chance to create a new identity and build upon the rich traditions of the blue and gold. It’s a chance to ... Dare to Be Different, or #DBD. The new district motto will also be its new hashtag on social media, #DareToBeDifferent, or #DBD. It’s a sign of new things to come for CISD.

Corsicana Middle School will host two meetings for “Targeted Improvement Plans,” or TIP, for both its campus and Corsicana High School.

The Corsicana High School Tiger Band will load buses Saturday, bound for Pflugerville, carrying not just instruments and props, but a story of rebirth that mirrors their competition show.

For 16 years, long-term substitute teacher Rhonda Shaffer has built bonds with Corsicana ISD students, watching them grow from toddlers at church to young adults in the Life Skills program while championing patience, respect, and understanding for special needs learners.

At first glance, they’re just sparkly bands adorning the white hats of Corsicana High School’s Calicos Drill Team. But look closer, and each sequin tells a story of achievement, experience, and leadership.

Corsicana High School is offering a series of workshops this fall to help students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which opens Oct. 1.
